SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday 10:00am
Sunday school is one of the most important services in the life of a Christian. It is the teaching time of a church. We encourage children, teens and adults to join a Sunday school class. We have exciting Sunday school classes for all ages of children and for every adult group. Each class uses the King James Bible as the textbook.
SOUL WINNING
Saturday 10:30am
Soul winning is one of the most important ministries that we have at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Each week dozens of people from our church visit door-to-door, pass out tracts, invite people to church and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have people who visit our church on a weekly basis because they received an invitation from one of our soul winners.
BUS MINISTRY
We provide transportation to the following areas in West Virginia: Huntington, Barboursville, Guyandotte, Altizer and Westmoreland. We provide transportation to the following areas in Ohio: Proctorville, Chesapeake and Burlington. If you live in one of these areas and would like to visit our church, please contact us and let us know. We have qualified drivers and workers who would love to serve you.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Young people are faced with a myriad of challenges, temptations, pressures, and decisions. On top of that, many of today’s teens carry heavy burdens. The devil and the world offer their “answers and solutions” that only lead to more devastation and destruction. The purpose of our youth group is to help our young people develop a personal relationship with the Lord thereby equipping them with the tools and resources needed to face the challenges, overcome the temptations, handle the pressures, carry the burdens, and make wise decisions. Our goal is to help them reach their fullest potential within the will of God for their lives. We strive to keep them active and engaged with monthly activities along with various camps and conferences throughout the year.
MISSIONS
LBC is home to WB World Missions and is the sending church for Missionary David Owens to Guyana and Missionary Jonathan Owens to Bulgaria. We support over 20 missionaries and have an ever increasing vision to do our part to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
PATCH THE PIRATE CLUB
Our Patch the Pirate Club is a great opportunity for children ages 4 through 6th grade. It is a 9-month, yearly program that emphasizes Godly character traits through songs, Bible lessons, daily devotions, stories, music lessons, singing, and skits. The mission of the club is to provide opportunities to grow spiritually while serving the Lord. Our sailors serve as our children’s choir and perform several programs each year. Club meetings are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:45.
